About ECOMAX

At ECOMAX (formerly Import Ants) we believe that it is the choices you make that create the world you want to live in. We believe in the power of positive change to a more ethical and sustainable life.

We work with four producers in Sri Lanka, each hand-making our unique range of products for wholesale to stores in Australia and New Zealand.

Our approach is a holistic one. We look at the whole life cycle of our products and the impact they have on our world. From the natural sustainable vegetable fibres we use, to their ethical manufacturing in Fair Trade communities in Sri Lanka and at the end of their life their biodegradability.

This holistic approach continues in how we support our women producers providing working hours to suit them at all stages of their life, from full time to part time employment, working while their children are at school. Our policy of paying a living wage and full training ensure that these women can support themselves and their families.

These values for us are a matter of ECOMAX.
